The AWRA 2010 Specialty Conference on GIS and Water Resources, held last week in Orlando, FL, seems to have been an unusually productive one for finding leads on potential papers. Already, I’ve sent out 16 notes encouraging authors of posters or oral presentations to consider JAWRA. We’re also talking about as many as 3 Featured Collections. Well worth the trip!
GIS is a powerful tool, but you can spend a lot of time using it unproductively. I think we’re beginning to identify best practices in applying GIS. I look forward to JAWRA presenting examples in the future.
