TGIF! Weekly Water News Summary, 9 – 15 August 2014

SATELLITEThere was a huge tailings pond breach at the Mount Polley gold/copper mine in British Columbia on 4 August. An estimated 10 million cubic meters (2.64 billion gallons) of water and 4.5 million cubic meters of sediment were released.
